Changes and Choices

Here is a bit of insight into some of the energies around us and within us at the moment.

Changes and choices is a theme coming up in many people’s lives this year. This is in part due to the energies of completion.

This year, doorways have opened for us to complete old patterns and contracts. Meaning that belief and thought patterns, relationships with others and relationships with self have been closing and coming to completion. It’s like we all had contract positions with certain friends, family members, and beliefs, and the terms of the contract were met this year and therefore we are free agents.

The energies of completion are related to the number 9 in numerology.

The year 2007 is a 9 year (2+0+0+7 = 9). Which means that this year is holding the energy of completion. All year things have been coming to a close. Sometimes completion can feel like grief. It can be sad to leave an old job, friend, house, way of viewing the world, way of viewing ourselves. So we have been experiencing a sort of grieving process this year as we let go of the “old”. At the same time, many people have been feeling excitement and anticipation as the “old” comes to a close.

September is the 9th month. So we will have been feeling the energies of completion much more strongly this month. Particularly on and around the 9th, 18th (1+8=9) and the 27th (2+7=9). These dates are 999 dates in numerology. A nine year, nine month and nine day carry the energies of 9 threefold. So the energies of completion are much stronger on these days. They are actually speeding up the completion phase and bringing up any old patterns and relationships that require completion.

Sometimes it’s not overly enjoyable to complete a thought pattern or relationship and it can cause some discomfort physically as well as mentally and emotionally. But when we know that it’s the energies of completion that have brought up the “stuff” it’s easier to deal with because we know those energies won’t be coming back.

This 999 energy is HUGE. Chapters of our lives are coming to a close. The “old” us is dying, and making space for the “new” us to come to life.

Such a transition from one existence to another affects different people in different ways.

Think back to your transition from elementary school to high school. How did you feel? Were you excited? Scared? Nervous? or a combination.

Some people were terrified and wanted to stay at elementary school. While others were sad to leave their old school but excited for the new one. Still others couldn’t wait to get out of elementary school and into high school. During this transition some people made all new friends and explored new interests and talents while others saw their old friendships become stronger. And even though it’s exciting to go to a new school, it can be scary too.

This process is happening to us right now. We are in the last month of grade 8 and preparing to enter high school. We have the opportunity to start fresh in a new school, with new teachers, new clothes and new friends. Think about what you’d like to wear the first day of school and what classes you’d like to take. High school offers much more freedom and many more choices than elementary school does.

Think of October, November and December as summer holidays. It’s the time to clear up any old “grade 8” stuff. Get rid of old clothing, reassess your friendships, and relax in a way. It’s also a time to look forward to the new phase in your life and to make choices about what classes you’d like to take and what attitude you will bring forth into your new “school”.

January 2008 is the beginning of grade 9.

The year 2008 is a 1 year (2+0+0+8 = 10, 1+0=1), with January 1 2008 being a 111. The number 1 is related to new beginnings in numerology. With new beginnings comes choice. The choices being made in 2008 are new choices, based on new energies. This new choice is a result of completion of old energetic patterns and relationships in 2007.

Like I said at the beginning, when our old contracts are completed we become free agents, and as free agents we are indeed FREE. And are in a new space to make Choice.

This space is opening up already, yet it is difficult for us to make decisions as we are still in the completion energy. Know that choice will become easy and clear as we near 2008.

The new space for new choice can be overwhelming, but you can do it. Right now you can spend time thinking about what it is you WANT. If money was not an issue in your life what would you do? How would you feel? Who would you have involved in your life? It is so important to ask yourself these questions because it is YOU who is going to choose the answer. The days of “having to” are over and the days of “choosing to” are here. Take a second to really feel this.

Once you’ve thought about what you want, ask yourself what needs to be completed in order to achieve this. What belief systems stand in your way, what limiting thought forms, people, situations. What can be completed now in order to make space for what you want.

You can think about this now, but know that when you get to school on the first day of grade 9 you might change your mind, and that’s ok.
