Inspirational Books

These are books that I highly recommend. A nice mixture of fiction and non-fiction with a common inspiring, motivating, and thought provoking thread.

The Field: The Quest for the Secret Force of the Universe
by Lynne McTaggart
This book blew my mind. It provides scientific evidence of a Field of consciousness that exists around the entire planet and those within it. The existence of such a field helps to demystify energy healings and psychic phenomenon. The book is a little sciency but I was able to follow along.
Path of Empowerment: New Pleiadian Wisdom for a World in Chaos
by Barbara Marciniak
Generally I whip through books in a couple days or a week. I spent three months on this one!!! Simply because after reading a page or two I would have to think and absorb. Sometimes I would read a chapter and put it down sometimes just a page! Every time I opened this book it ‘spoke’ to me – almost as though it was written just for me at each particular moment!
The Celestine Prophecy
by James Redfield
This was the first book I read that pulled me outside the box and introduced me to energy, coincidences, and the importance of acknowledging them. It is a fictional story that depicts an alternate view of reality. I highly recommend reading this book, and if you’ve read it once, read it again!
The 10th insight is also very good.
Initiation at Beltane: Book One of the Ezmereld Chronicles
by Tamarin Laurel
This is a fictional book that follows a young boys search for identity. The emphasis is that although you can receive guidance from others it is only you who can define and discover who you are and what your purpose is.
The Alchemist
by Paulo Coelho
Read it! One or two pages in and you’ll know why.
The Mists of Avalon
by Marion Zimmer Bradley
I love this book! It looks at the legend of Arthur and the round table from the point of view of the women of Avalon. It shows the power of the goddess and how it was assimilated/crushed (depending on your point of view) by the early Christian church. It is full of magic and insight.
I also recommend reading The Lady of Avalon.
The Golden Book of Faerie
by O. R. Melling
This is an awesome compilation of four books by O.R. Melling. They are adventure stories which bring the Faerie kingdom to life, both in Ireland and in Canada. A must read! (just be prepared to not move once you start into it).
